STAGEHANDS EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND INTRODUCTION The Stagehands Emergency Relief Fund (“SERF”) was established to provide both short-term and long-term emergency financial relief to Stagehands who work in theatres, arenas, hotels, convention centers and similar venues throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

Behind the Scenes is a system of financial aid available to anyone in the technical side of the entertainment business. It is administered by and is a main project of the PLASA Foundation in New York, formerly the ESTA Foundation. It is funded by many organizations and businesses in entertainment, among them ETC, Rosco, and the Actors Fund, as well as many working people like you.
