Spring classes

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR:

Basic Classes:

Basic Rigging: Saturday, May 6th, 10am-2pm, Local 22 BXB Hall, 1810 Hamlin St NE-

Building steel. Laying out truss. This is just a start to rigging in the entertainment industry. THIS CLASS DOES NOT MAKE YOU A RIGGER

PLEASE- know how to tie a bowline and clove hitch before attending this class.

Basic Sound: Wednesday, May 10th, 8am-12pm: Eisenhower Theater, Kennedy Center

The basics of sound reinforcement. Microphones, boards, speakers, and putting them together.

FEE: $5.00/ basic Class To Register, you must email Anita Hartsock at anita@22trngref.com. You will then be sent an
invoice through paypal. Class size is limited.

NO CASH OR CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED

Spring Level 2 Classes: NOT FOR BEGINNERS-you must have taken
the basic classes or have work experience in order to take these classes.

Level 2 Props:  Tuesday, May 9th, 10am-2pm, Eisenhower Theater, Kennedy Center

       A more in-depth study of the props department. Examples: Laying out a drop cloth. Stretching a dance floor.
Mopping & sweeping techniques (yes, there is a trick to it).

Level 2 Sound: Wednesday, May 10th, 1pm-5pm, Eisenhower Theater, Kennedy Center
       Building on the basics, you
ll receive a more in-depth knowledge of a sound systems ins and outs, and clear com.
There will be hands on time as well as lecture and discussion.

Level 2 Fly Floor: Friday May 12th, 10am-3pm, Eisenhower Theater, Kennedy Center-

Take some rail cues, get some time up in the grid. More hands on time with a counterweight rail system.

Class space is extremely limited. You MUST have either attended the basic fly floor class, or have had previous
experience 
with a counterweight fly rail system.

Level 2 Stage Carpentry: May 16th 9am-2pm, Opera House, Kennedy Center

    A brief sojourn into the various aspects of stage carpentry. Hand tools, knots, traveler tracks, reading drawings and the like.

Level 2 Follow Spot: Thursday, June 1st. 2 Sessions: 8-12 OR 1-5. Strathmore Hall.

     This is hands on time to run a spot light. Youll listen and respond to cues being called in a theatrical environment.
